The official people from The Union health ministry stated that actor Poonam PAnder is not under consideration to serve as the brand ambassador for the government’s national campaign for spreading awareness about cervical cancer. The report in PTI suggesting that Poonam pandey is in discussion with the ministry officials to become the face of the campaign, the clarification was issued to dismiss the roomers.
This week there were many headlines dominated by news of Poonam Pandey’s supposed death from cervical cancer. Later she posted the news – as a stunt by the actor and her team to spread awareness about the disease.
Poonam Pandey stated that unlike some other forms of cancer, this cancer is also curable. She underlined the importance of the HPV vaccine and detection test in preventing cancer.
Poonam pandey posted on her instagram account , “I feel compelled to share something significant with you all – I am alive.” She continued “Cervical cancer didn’t claim me, but tragically, it has claimed the lives of thousands of women due to lack of knowledge on how to combat this disease.”
