With a ₹90.7 crore net revenue on its opening day in India, the movie had a great start and, despite conflicting reviews, has held steady at the box office. It is anticipated to maintain its strong performance in the upcoming weeks.
The Salaar, an action movie was directed by Prashant Neel in 2023. Fans have given the movie overwhelmingly positive reviews.
According to the box office site, the film can make over 15 crore revenue in India.
The movie, set in the made-up dystopian city-state of Khansaar, revolves around the friendship between Varadha (Prithviraj), the prince of Khansaar, and Deva (Prabhas), a tribesman.
While his father’s ministers and relatives organize a rebellion, Varadha enlists Deva’s help to seize Khansaar’s crown.
The movie has effectively outperformed the second Monday test. The film got a good response as there were Christmas holidays and expected to be continued till “Makar Sankranti”. But now we have to see the next weekend as holidays are now coming to an end and theater occupancy is reduced by 50%. The film has performed well in Telugu states.
With more than ₹120 crore coming from countries like the US, the UK, and Australia, the foreign collection is likewise robust.
In contrast to a ₹270 crore budget, it has made approximately ₹540.25 crores in revenue globally.
